Appalachian Mountain Bike Club Unveils Web Site


Tennessee's newest mountain bike advocacy organization, the Appalachian Mountain Bike Club (AMBC), now has a presence on the world wide web.

Information about AMBC, including a calendar of event and membership information, can be found at: http://www.ambc-sorba.org. In addition to their web site, they maintain an AMBC thread on the Knoxville Cycling Forums, where they post notices of meetings, trail maintenance, group rides and other upcoming events.

The AMBC serves the interests of mountain bikers in the Knoxville-area and is an official of the Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association (SORBA).

SORBA is a nonprofit mountain biking organization with chapters throughout the the Southeast. SORBA maintains active chapters in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee and works with land managers to create trails and trail systems for mountain bikers and other users to enjoy.
